Connect Week
Connect Week at CCS
Connect Week is all about starting the school year with strong connections! Similar to a traditional conference, it gives students, supporters and school staff dedicated time to connect, but the conversation goes beyond academics. Connect Week is a chance to learn more about each student, talk about their goals, celebrate what is going well, and identify how our team can best support them throughout the year.
Meeting with teachers
Teachers will reach out
Open house same as middle school (all that content will stay the same). One open house session.

Middle school students and supporters can join any of the three Virtual Open House sessions during Connect Week. No separate appointment is needed for the listed times.
When you join, you’ll be connected to individual teachers and Learning Coaches in breakout rooms for one-on-one conversations.
During your conversations, you will:
- Talk about classes, schedules or technology
- Share strengths, hobbies or outside responsibilities
- Discuss challenges that may be affecting school
- Ask questions and let your school team know what support would be helpful
Open House Times
If none of these times work, contact your Learning Coach to make other arrangements. Students are encouraged to participate directly in the conversation and share what they need from their school team.
High School Connect Week gives students dedicated time to connect with the people who support them. Students are encouraged to take ownership of the process by scheduling and participating in their own meetings, even if a parent or guardian is not available.
Meet With Your Learning Team
The Learning Team meeting is the heart of High School Connect Week. Students and supporters schedule a meeting with the student’s Learning Coach, who then invites the appropriate instructors and staff to join the conversation. Meeting times include some before-school and evening options to make it easier to find a time that works.
The conversation will focus on:
- Classes or teachers the student wants to connect with
- Challenges that may be affecting school right now
- Goals for life after graduation
- Questions or support the student needs

Students and supporters can also connect directly with Rose Bierce, the high school principal during Principal Pop-Ups. These drop-in opportunities provide another way to ask questions, share feedback and connect during Connect Week.
